Australia Post is offering free parcel collection lockers for its customers, partnering with 7-Eleven Australia to meet the ongoing surge in online shopping.
The team-up opens access to 1,000 parcel pick-up locations for Australia Post customers, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This doubles the number of AusPost’s all-hours parcel locker locations throughout the country.
Online shopping has seen significant growth over the past 12 months, with a recent Australia Post report revealing a 32 per cent increase in online shopping over the 2021-21 financial year.

Australia Post Executive General Manager Community & Consumer Nicole Sheffield said the partnership was timely given the growth in eCommerce, and was all about giving customers more choice.
“Australia Post is delivering more parcels than ever before, with Australians showing us over the past year just how much they’ve embraced shopping online,” Sheffield said.
“This partnership with 7-Eleven gives our customers greater choice on the most convenient way to collect what they’ve bought, at the times and places that suit them, which is why expanding our locker network into 7-Eleven stores just makes sense,” she said.
7-Eleven Australia General Manager – Product, Matt Keogh, said that providing consumers with choice and convenience continues to be a focus.
“Australians live pretty busy lives, and our focus is on making their everyday wonderfully easier,” Keogh said.
“Being able to offer Australia Post customers the choice to collect their parcels in one of our stores, when and where it suits them, is convenience we are proud to partner with Australia Post to provide,” he said.
The service launches across more than 200 7-Eleven stores where 7-Eleven ParcelMate lockers are already installed.
By the end of 2021, an additional 300 7-Eleven stores will also be added for Australia Post deliveries. This is in addition to more than 500 existing Australia Post parcel locker locations in the network.
