Ecommerce fulfilment provider eStore Logistics has opened a personalised automated fulfilment centre for online retailer Temple & Webster in Derrimut, Victoria.

The new 25,000 sqm dedicated facility, which was fast-tracked due to the rapid increase in requirements from Temple and Webster, will process thousands of orders a day.

The fulfilment centre is coming online in two phases, with the first one currently live and in operation. The second phase will go live in September 2022 and will open up an additional 11,952sqm of fulfilment operations.

eStore Logistics Founder & Managing Director, Leigh Williams, said she believes personalised fulfilment centres are a game-changing solution for their growing customers.

“We’re noticing a market for this type of personalised service. As businesses like Temple & Webster grow in size and orders they have more specialised fulfilment requirements,” Williams said.

“As true partners to our customers, we’re happy to build bespoke sites and grow alongside them. We’d love to do more of this work for our thriving customers and see it being a huge opportunity for our own business down the line,” she said.

The new warehousing facility has been designed specifically to handle the storage of the homewares and furniture retailer’s goods and will also include bespoke transport and operations configurations that best suit Temple & Webster products.

The new site is also expected to create more than 90 new staff at its peak, with eStore currently hiring.

In a statement, Temple & Webster Chief Executive, Mark Coulter, said that eStore Logistics has been an important partner for Temple & Webster over the years.

“Our number one focus is to ensure an optimum end-to-end experience for our customers, and our relationship with eStore Logistics enables us to offer a best in class fulfilment service while keeping our business asset-light,” Coulter said.

“We have our sights set on strong growth over the next five years and know that this personalised fulfilment site with eStore will play a big role in helping us get there,” he said.

eStore Logistics partnered with specialist supply chain and property firm TMX, formerly TM Insight, on procuring this existing ecommerce fulfilment centre.

“This commitment has seen our relationship with eStore Logistics extend to sourcing seven sites across the country totalling in excess of 100,000 sqm,” said Nathan Bingham, Chief Customer Officer at TMX.

“For TMX, this is a highly valued partnership and it has been a privilege to play a small role in eStore Logistics‘ impressive growth as they support the acceleration of ecommerce in Australia,” Bingham said.
