The Hallett Group has multiplied down on its obligation to carbonise its cement production with the consenting of an arrangement that will see two Korean organisations assemble an electrolyser at its cement facility at Port Augusta in the mid-north of South Australia.

Hallett marked a Proclamation of Collaboration with the South Australian Government, Elecseed and Korea Hydro and Atomic Power who will fabricate the 6MW hydrogen electrolyser at the site of two previous coal-fired power stations in Port Augusta.

Elecseed is a sustainable and green hydrogen project improvement organization situated in Australia, while Hallett Group is a producer of construction materials, including cement. To carry out the green cement transition project, the latter company has received approximately $13.1 million in funding from the central government.

“The SoC signifies Hallett’s commitment to closing the gap with carbonising the cement industry with innovative solutions,” said Hallet Group.

Earlier the organization reported a $125 million green cement project which will see the production of ‘valuable cementitious materials’ (SCMs) that can supplant more prominent than 50% of high CO2 radiating clinker-based concrete.

“Our current Green Cement project in Port Augusta will be complemented by the innovation and support from Elecseed and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.”

“This new investment shows that Hallett’s initial commitment to Port Augusta and the Upper Spencer Gulf with our Green Cement Processing Hub has proven to be the catalyst for attracting more projects to the region.” said Hallett Group.

Moreover, Elecseed has focused on effectively participating in the development of green hydrogen inside South Australia, including leading a joint possibility study for providing green hydrogen toward the South Australia green concrete progress project.

Hallett’s Port Augusta venture will decrease Australian CO2 discharges of 300,000 tons for each annum right away, developing to roughly 1,000,000 tons for every annum in years to come.
