TMX Global, a leading industrial and logistics advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Nathan Cairney as Director of Project Services. Cairney brings over 25 years of experience in the Australian construction and property industry, with particular expertise in warehouse and distribution facilities, heavy industrial process facilities, and transport and logistics infrastructure.
Before joining TMX Global, Cairney worked for eight years at project management consultancy Tactical Group ANZ in Sydney and Brisbane, where he worked with both occupier and landlord clients, including Woolworths, Primary Connect, Charter Hall, Hale Capital, Logos, Altis, ESR, and Stockland.
“Our industrial property clients are in good hands given Nathan’s depth of technical expertise on highly complex, large-scale industrial projects, and his extensive experience in leadership,” said TMX Global Executive Director of Project Services Andrew Walsh.
“At TMX we are specialists in the end-to-end supply chain, and it is industry professionals like Nathan who exemplify this sophisticated and hard-earned knowledge and put it to action for our clients.”
TMX Global advises some of the world’s largest companies, including Bunnings, Coles, Kmart, Coca-Cola Japan, Asahi, and Singapore Post. Cairney said he had always admired TMX Global for its integrated work in the industrial and logistics sector.
“The opportunity to join the TMX Project Services team across Sydney and Brisbane was too good to pass up,” Cairney said.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with TMX’s clients to manage the delivery of their new and upgraded facilities, supporting them to achieve their goals in the industrial space, ultimately improving the operational performance of their business, which is more important than ever.”
Cairney’s skills include end-to-end project lifecycle project and program management, including master planning, development applications, procurement, design, construction management, contracts and commercial, commissioning and handover. He has worked on developments ranging from 10,000 sqm to 80,000 sqm, up to three storeys, and varying in complexity – from single-select racking to fully automated material handling systems (MHS) with multiple Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
With Cairney’s appointment, TMX Global reinforces its position as a leading adviser in the industrial and logistics sector, helping clients optimize their supply chains and improve their operational performance.
