JLL has appointed supply chain solutions leader Richard Phillips in the role of Head of Supply Chain – Australia and New Zealand.
Phillips joins JLL from DHL, where he held executive roles for over 25 years across their 3PL business, delivering supply chain solutions for multinational customers.
“Richard will spearhead the JLL supply chain offering and will ensure we are able to deliver premium outcomes to occupiers across the country,” said Matt Lee, National Director of Industrial Occupier Services at JLL.
“Issues in the supply chain continue to be a logistical challenge for many companies in Australia,” Lee said.
“The pandemic highlighted the importance of reliance and resilience in supply chain and geopolitical factors this year have further demonstrated the impact of disrupted supply chains.
Phillips will bring to JLL his wealth of experience in supply chain solutions to further strengthen the group’s advice for occupiers on their network design, inventory optimisation, warehouse design and transport solutions.
“Companies remain firmly focused on mitigating the risks in their supply chain operations from ongoing worldwide disruption and cost pressures,” said Richard Phillips, Head of Supply Chain – Australia and New Zealand at JLL.
“Availability of all types of assets to the occupier community is becoming critical to their supply chains, from people, land, steel or even fuel,” Phillips said.
“It is crucial that occupiers right size their long-term property solution especially with the changing ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) commitments,” he said.
Phillips’ role leading JLL’s supply chain operations in Australia and New Zealand forms part of the firm’s global supply chain group, which has existing operations in the USA and Europe.
