Argon & Co. is proud to support the launch of Paintback’s Paint Circular Economy Headquarters—a dedicated facility for reclaiming and repurposing unwanted paint and packaging, officially opened in Braeside, Victoria.
Working closely with Paintback, Argon & Co has provided comprehensive project support across project management, engineering, procurement, and vertical startup to bring this circular economy innovation to life. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in sustainable waste management and circular economy innovation within Australia and globally.
With the capacity to process up to 40,000 kilograms of material daily (10,700 tonnes annually), the facility is set to prevent 3,178 tonnes of paint, 589 tonnes of metal, and 364 tonnes of plastic from entering landfills each year. Additionally, the operation will remove an estimated 1,363 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, making a measurable impact on environmental outcomes.

Argon & Co was engaged from the early design phase through to implementation and commissioning. The team helped Paintback navigate complex regulatory approvals, engineering challenges, and governance structures, ensuring the seamless and safe execution of this landmark project.
“Argon & Co has been instrumental in turning our vision into a functioning reality,” said John Ferraro, CEO of Paintback. “Their technical and strategic expertise, combined with their on-the-ground project leadership, has helped us deliver a facility that not only redefines paint recovery but also sets the benchmark for circular economy infrastructure.”
Following Board approval of the facility design, Argon & Co. deployed a skilled project team led by a dedicated Project Director and Project Manager to oversee engineering, procurement, and startup activities. The scope of work included:
● Development of detailed design and equipment schedules, Engineering coordination and site implementation
● Contractor procurement and management
● Safety planning and supervision
● Dry and wet commissioning
● Operator training and startup support
The PaCE HQ now serves as the backbone of Paintback’s commitment to reducing waste and recovering valuable resources. The site will also support ongoing R&D into new applications for reclaimed paint, such as Paintback Greyscale, further enhancing its circular model.
“We are incredibly proud to have supported Paintback on such an ambitious and meaningful initiative,” said Argon & Co spokesperson or Managing Partner.
“This facility demonstrates what is possible when vision, innovation, and structured execution come together. It’s a model for future-forward waste solutions, and we are excited to see the long-term impact it delivers.”
