Muddy Boots announced recently that it has been acquired by Canadian telecommunications company TELUS.

UK-based food supply chain solutions provider Muddy Boots Software said the acquisition will provide them the support of a global leader in communications and digital technologies, enabling them to grow in key markets, such as North America and Asia Pacific, and to accelerate the development of its digital supply chain solutions.

“This acquisition positions Muddy Boots well to continue the journey towards providing the best connected digital experience for our customers in the food supply chain market and gives us access to the necessary resources to further enhance our advanced analytics and connected digital services,” said Jonathan Evans, Managing Director of Muddy Boots Software.

TELUS EVP and Group President Francois Gratton echoed Evans’ statement, saying that Muddy Boots is an excellent fit with TELUS as both organisations aim to positively affect the global agriculture and agri-food value chain.

“Muddy Boots’ has an outstanding reputation in the global food supply-chain industry, especially as it relates to data transparency and security, customer service, and specialised product offerings that drive value for their customers. We are excited to help expand these capabilities and build upon their already sterling track record,” Gratton said.

Muddy Boots Software currently employs 100+ staff, has offices in the UK, Germany, Australia, China and North America and is active across the global food supply chain.
