Job Description

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to support a number of Toll Energy and Marine (TEM) key customers. Based in Dampier, you will be responsible for a team of capable and passionate professionals where together; to ensure all of the TEM stake holders up and down the supply chain to ensure operational needs are met and planned to maximise efficiency. This will include the oversight of all warehousing, laydown, machinery, quarantine, vessel planning, vessel stowage, wharf bookings, fuel bookings and transport services along with key project interfaces.

As the Operations Manager you will:

• Effectively manage, supervise, and organise the daily operations supervisors under your control.
• Management of people, coordination, and delivery of customer’s freight to designated destinations and associated activities.
• Ensure people and equipment are employed efficiently and that all activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency whilst reducing costs of the current operations.
• Provide a high-level of customer service – ensuring Toll meets agreed KPI’s and other contractual obligations.

Qualifications

Experience Required

• Ability to lead and manage teams to achieve exceptional performance.
• Extensive understanding of Supply Chain Management / Integrated Logistics, Transportation Systems and Management
• Sound understanding oil and gas supply base operations.
• Understanding of oil and gas industry and their unique requirements, systems and equipment.
• Sound understanding and commitment to HSE excellence.
• Basic understanding of Financial Modelling.
• Effective IT skills with practical knowledge of transport information systems
• Proven problem-solving ability with a solutions orientation matched with an ability to solve customer problems creatively.
• Ability to see the “Big Picture” and quickly reach an understanding of customer’s business and their requirements.
• Ability to determine manpower and equipment to meet scheduled workloads to minimise labour costs and meet customer requirements.
• High risk work licences applicable to the execution of the above services
• Sound Knowledge of Import /Export Operations
• Practical Understanding of HVA Accreditation and vehicle compliance.
