Production Planner

Right now, we are looking for a Production Planner with manufacturing experience, to fill a crucial role in our business.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you work with all areas of the operation including Sales, Production & Logistics and are responsible for developing levelled production plans to optimise production capacity, meet market demand and balance inventory levels.

Our company is in the early stages of transitioning to a system driven process, this will be a change management role, fast-paced and would suit someone who relishes a challenge. You will need to be hands on, forward thinking, a problem solver, have excellent communication skills and the ability to make decisions & influence others and meet deadlines.

You will be accountable for:

● Development of site production plans to ensure production activity and inventory levels are in line with demand analysis.

● Manage stock holdings of raw material and finished goods that optimise stock turnover

● Ensure stable workforce plans across the production facility including labour, machine and resource planning and forecasting

● Ensure minimal variation of production from plan

● SAP analysis and reporting against KPI’s plus development of recommendations for operational improvements

● Driving effective communication and teamwork across all sectors of production

Essential Candidate Requirements:

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;

● Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and production scheduling & planning and /or supply chain management, preferably in the food manufacturing sector

● Qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or other related discipline

● Experience working with ERP & MRP Systems. Experience with SAP B1 would be highly regarded.

● Experience delivering operational excellence utilising Lean Six Sigma tools, techniques, and methodologies with a track record of delivering measurable improvement

● Exceptional analytical and organisational skills and persistent high-level attention to detail

● Strong Commercial and business acumen

● Customer focused mentality, commercial awareness, and an analytical and numerate mindset

● Proven and ability to work in a demanding environment dealing with conflicting priorities that requires initiative, flexibility, adaptability, and calmness under pressure
