Trans Tank International (TTi) is a leading Australian manufacturer of quality agricultural and industrial spray products, fire-fighters, diesel transfer, and dust-suppression units. At the core of every product is a purpose-made, tried, and tested, rotationally moulded polyethylene tank which is produced in our state-of-the-art facility. Due to retirement, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our progressive team.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, professional, and talented Supply Chain Manager to join TTi at a time of growth and new opportunities. Based in the beautiful regional town of Nathalia in regional Northern Victoria, this is the perfect chance to make the tree change you have always dreamed of!

The Supply Chain Manager is integral to TTi’s success, responsible for developing and implementing supplier-related strategies, streamlining the supply chain process, and maximising value for money outcomes with consideration for value, innovation, and quality, whilst effectively mitigating supply risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, enhance and streamline the supply chain process and negotiate significant supply contracts
  • Improve the business’ supply chain processes; sourcing and negotiating alternative suppliers internationally (this may include international travel in the future)
  • Proactively convey the company’s growth plans to suppliers to create new partnerships
  • Create opportunities that reduce raw material costs
  • Provide operational oversight of the Purchasing Officer
  • Improve inventory processes & demand forecasting based on process knowledge, analysis, and feedback
  • Manage the commercial contractual aspects of supply relations from inception
  • Create a supplier scoring criteria based on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and pricing and a measurable framework of KPIs for key and strategic suppliers
  • Produce professional presentations and have formal discussions with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions

Skills and Experience:

  • Solid experience in supply chain and business improvement – ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent contract management experience, advanced negotiation, and influencing strategies/skills
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve effectively
  • High level of computer literacy, with sound software capability (Microsoft programs & operational ERP)
  • Understanding of OH&S requirements
  • Demonstrated prioritisation and organisational skills
