What does the role involve?

 

The Supply Chain Optimisation Partner will be a key supporting role within the supply chain team that is responsible for successfully managing and supporting key supply chain projects as directed by the Head of Retail Supply & Logistics. The role will act as a project specialist and support key SMEs with a view to support fulfilment, logistics, order management, CRM, systems development and will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing expertise and support project teams across Retail Supply and Logistics
  • Resolve gaps associated with supply chain process with an aim to support efficiency across the ordering process/cycle.
  • Support development of the right systems and capture pain points and resolve gaps associated with order fulfilment with a view to support accuracy.
  • Review and propose further development of our online fulfilment operations to support the increased demand in ecommerce.
  • Follow up, resolve and close pending inventory queries generated from the Retail Fulfillment Call Center (RFCC). Follow up, resolve and close pending missing in transit cases associated with our domestic 3PL partners.
  • Follow up, close and resolve any cases associated with inventory balancing across systems via our international supply chain.
  • Recommend, plan and deploy reporting associated with backorders and supporting functionality with an aim to provide outlets visibility of stock availability.
  • Manage the minor works portfolio for and on behalf of all supply chain functional teams supporting enhancement to current system functionality.
  • Capture, review and organize Supply Chain activity and work programs associated with peak operations.
  • Assist with supporting and developing long term supply chain strategy and programs of work.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We’re looking for candidates with exposure to and experience within typical retail industry supply chain functions, processes and systems that support the merchandise planning, allocation, management, replenishment, fulfillment or distribution of inventories for resale.

 

  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Experience in project management specifically associated with Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Experience in development of online fulfilment system, process or strategy.
  • Experience in query resolution associated with inventory discrepancies across different parts of the supply chain.
  • Excellent planning, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and integrate the requirements of multiple merchandise categories to meet time critical deadlines.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders both orally and in writing to achieve time/cost dependent outcomes.
  • Appropriate technical and training skills to support resolution of inventory discrepancies
  • Demonstrable Capabilities and full utilization of SAP IS Retail systems functionality at Australia Post.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP, and WMS systems
