About the opportunity:

 

Reporting into the Operational Procurement Manager, this role will assist Holcim Australia in maximising benefits realisation. As a Procurement Buyer you will maintain an ethical, effective and efficient bidding process to deliver continued benefits against designated spend groups whilst achieving Service Level Agreements (SLA). This is an operational and transactional role, working in a fast paced, diverse and dynamic team.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Review purchase requisitions and ensure completeness of requirements and/or statements of work
  • Leverage existing preferred suppliers where available to maximise benefits and identify further supplier options as required
  • Liaise with suppliers to undertake the request for quote process and negotiate savings
  • Review and perform due diligence on all purchase requisitions for completeness and compliance to policy and other set criteria
  • Collaborate with the requestor to ensure the supplier selection meets the optimal business requirements to award the supplier
  • SAP Administrative duties, managing contract price changes, uploading of contracts, ensuring the data base of suppliers are up to date and proactively advising on expiry dates of contracts

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

 

  • Procurement/Supply Chain, Business or Finance discipline regarded
  • Up to 5 years in similar role, previous experience in purchasing, procurement analytics, finance or sourcing roles
  • Intermediate to advanced SAP, Email, Word, Excel
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Supplier and internal stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Customer service focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
