About the Role

 

Elastomers Australia are seeking a Supply Chain Assistant with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role to join our team. Recent Graduates with a background in Supply Chain or Inventory Control are also encouraged to apply. The role is based in our Melbourne Head Office, located in Airport West. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the focus is to provide a range of generalist administrative assistance with inventory control related activities with all facets of supply chain.

 

Duties

 

  • Maintain daily inventory transactions including assembling of stock, receipting and transferring
  • Physical counting and checking of stock when required
  • Review and action inventory and purchasing reports to ensure transactions and activities are carried out in a timely manner
  • Generate Purchase orders / Service orders when required
  • Complete other inventory related activities as directed by supervisor
  • Coordinate and effectively manage time enable completion of various tasks at hand to the highest possible standard and ensure internal and external customers needs and queries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Action stock adjustments as directed and according to company policy
  • Produce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved

 

Requirements

 

  • Up to 1-2 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Inventory Control – desirable
  • Successful applicant must hold at least a Certificate in Supply Chain/Logistic or Planning – Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Can listen and take instructions well
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment
  • Ability to work independently and under tight timescales and pressure
  • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
  • Manufacturing background preferred but not essential
