Supporting our three liquor brands, this team is made up of many functions from the supply chain, to marketing, finance and strategy, allowing us to really deliver with pride. The Liquor team is an exciting and dynamic area of the business and is committed to being Australia’s favourite drinks retailer.

The role

As a Trade Planning Manager, you are an essential conduit between Category Management, Marketing, Digital, Store Operations and our Suppliers. You are basically the linchpin that ensures our promotional programs deliver to our business plans.

Partnering with and reporting through to the Category Manager, you will look to drive an improved promotional offer, deliver stronger margins and source new and interesting products for our customers to discover. Being responsible for the end-to-end execution of the promotional program, you will also develop strong relationships with our suppliers.

To be successful, you’ll have

    • a sound understanding of marketing and promotional plans, ideally gained in a retail or FMCG.
    • strong financial acumen to maximise sales and minimise waste.
    • experience in negotiating and able to influence positive business outcomes.
    • advanced Excel and analytical skills.
    • strong administrative skills to enable smooth promotional management.
    • ability to present to stakeholders at all levels across the business.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To

    • build and execute a trade and promotional plans (helping set and manage the yearly promotional grid).
    • introducing new and interesting Liquor products into the promotional program.
    • reviewing our promotional effectiveness and developing strategies to improve future promotions.
    • partnering with suppliers and communicating the promotional event strategy.
    • accurately forecast weekly volume requirements, including promotional lines.
