Countrywide Hydrogen, Ofload, and 7R Logistics have joined forces to roll out a zero-emissions logistics solution across Australia.

The collaboration aims to introduce hydrogen-powered trucking along key freight routes, with a focus on sustainability and decarbonisation in road logistics. Countrywide will supply green hydrogen, while 7R Logistics will provide the transport and Ofload’s digital platform will connect shippers with carriers.

Set to launch in Tasmania by 2026, the initiative will expand to Melbourne and Adelaide, targeting high-demand routes. Hydrogen refuelling infrastructure will be developed to support seamless operations across these regions.

Countrywide Hydrogen’s Managing Director, Geoffrey Drucker, said, “By bringing together the freight, road transport, and fuel supply sectors, we’re creating a scalable, zero-emission supply chain ecosystem.”

Geoffroy Henry, CEO of Ofload, added, “We’re not just reducing emissions, we’re reshaping the future of freight transport in Australia.”

This partnership comes at a pivotal time, as Australia pushes toward a zero-emissions future. The Senate’s recent passage of the climate-related financial disclosures Bill will require companies to report greenhouse gas emissions, making the collaboration a timely response to both industry demands and national sustainability goals.

With hydrogen trucks being supplied by Walkinshaw Automotive Group and financing solutions in the pipeline, this initiative marks a significant step forward for Australia’s logistics industry in reducing emissions and fostering long-term sustainability.
