Bolloré Logistics, a leading global logistics company currently undergoing acquisition by CMA CGM, has announced the appointment of Olivier Boccara as the new Managing Director for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. With over seven years of experience at Bolloré, Boccara will be taking over from Cyril Dumon.
Having initially joined Bolloré as the CEO for France, Boccara quickly ascended to the position of Global Chief Commercial Officer. His extensive knowledge and understanding of the company’s operations make him a fitting choice for this significant role. Bolloré Logistics expressed confidence that Boccara would continue the development strategy implemented by his predecessor.
The company highlighted its commitment to growth in key sectors such as aeronautics, health, luxury, and cosmetics. Boccara, alongside his team, will actively support Bolloré’s expansion plans in these areas. His previous experience as the Chief Executive of SAGA in France further strengthens his ability to drive major projects.
Boccara’s notable achievements include his involvement in the successful merger of SAGA and SDV subsidiaries in 2015. Additionally, he played a crucial role in Bolloré’s acquisition of a majority stake in Ovrsea, a digital freight forwarding start-up, in 2021. These accomplishments demonstrate his expertise in navigating complex ventures and fostering growth within the logistics industry.
As Bolloré Logistics progresses with its acquisition by CMA CGM, the appointment of Olivier Boccara as the Managing Director for APAC signifies a new phase of leadership and development for the company. Bolloré Logistics and its team are poised to embrace new opportunities, capitalize on market trends, and continue delivering exceptional logistics services to their clients in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
“I am delighted at the prospect of building on the solid foundations laid down by Cyril, who has greatly contributed to positioning Bolloré Logistics as a leading logistics player in the Asia-Pacific region. I have complete confidence in our existing teams and together we will strive to further develop the immense potential of this region and expand our operations to better serve our customers,” he said.
