Boral Limited, Australia’s vertically integrated construction materials company, earned the Australian Made License for 17 packaged and dry mix products.

This milestone allows Boral’s cement, mortar, and render products to display the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo, signalling their authenticity and high quality, the company said in a media release.

A product must undergo its final significant transformation within Australia. Boral’s newly certified products join its Australian-made licensed asphalt range, reinforcing the company’s commitment to local manufacturing.

Research shows that Australian consumers strongly favour locally made goods, with 91 per cent expressing a desire to see more Australian Made products and 84 percent of businesses preferring to purchase them when possible.

Boral’s CEO and Managing Director Vik Bansal emphasised the company’s longstanding Australian heritage and its dedication to supporting local industries.

“For more than 75 years, Boral has been a proud Australian-owned company. Becoming a licensed Australian Made company and carrying the Australian Made and Owned logo is a natural progression for us,” said Bansal.

He added that the certification assures customers of the premium quality and stringent standards of Boral products, which are designed and manufactured in Australia.

Australian Made Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro lauded Boral’s achievement, noting the high standards and global reputation of Australian products.

“It’s great to see Boral become an Australian Made licensee. Aussie products are known for their safety and quality. Research shows that nearly nine out of ten Australians are more likely to buy a product if they know it is Australian Made,” Lazzaro said.

As Boral updates its product packaging to feature the AMAG logo, the company said customers can look forward to easily identifying genuine Australian-made goods on store shelves in the coming weeks and months.
