Electro Optic Systems has unveiled significant leadership changes aimed at bolstering its presence in international markets.

EOS introduced Christian Tobergte as the new leader of its Defence Systems International activity based in Europe.

With a wealth of experience in business growth, Tobergte’s appointment signifies EOS’s commitment to expanding its Defence Systems operations beyond Australia.

Having served in several senior leadership positions at Rheinmetall for over 13 years, including roles in Dusseldorf, Zurich, and Abu Dhabi, Tobergte brings extensive expertise in business development across Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.

His primary focus will be on driving the global growth of EOS’s Remote Weapons Systems products, including the R150 and R800 RWS products, along with the new Slinger counterdrone system.

Additionally, he will enhance the company’s global sales and marketing maturity, particularly in the burgeoning counter-drone market.

Ian Cook has been appointed to spearhead the growth of EOS Defence Systems activity in Australia.

With over two decades of experience in senior leadership roles within defence businesses such as Thales and General Dynamics, Cook will concentrate on enhancing EOS Defence Systems’ global engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing activities.

His goal is to elevate the maturity of these critical functions as EOS continues to expand its sales and production of new products. Ian, who joined EOS in November 2023, operates from Canberra, Australia.

In a broader organisational change, Clive Cuthell has been appointed as chief operating officer, in addition to his current role as chief financial officer.

In this expanded capacity, Cuthell will be responsible for ensuring the execution of key group initiatives to facilitate growth.
