FedEx Express has declared the opening of its new office in southeastern Victoria to help the developing express cargo interest in the district.

Regional Victoria accounts for 21% of private companies in Victoria, as per FedEx, with Gippsland showing a consistent expansion in independent ventures over the course of the last year. The region is assessed to develop to $2.66 billion GPR in the near future, the company said.

“With our wide and deep domestic network within Australia, we support business owners to access their local, regional, and national consumers,” said FedEx Express Australasia Vice President, Peter Langley.

The newly constructed office traverses more than 4987 sqm and is outfitted with a high-level mechanised sortation system that can sort up to 1400 packages each hour.

“By leveraging new facilities such as our new Morwell station and expanding regional capacity, we enable Australian businesses to move freight in a faster and more efficient manner to people and businesses across the country – no matter where they are located,” Langley added.

On the side of the FedEx objective to accomplish carbon nonpartisan activities by 2040 all around the world, the new office is outfitted with multi-layered sustainable structure highlights to decrease the influence on the climate.

“FedEx has been continuously strengthening its operational capabilities and innovating its products and services to help local businesses navigate the complex supply chain landscape in Australia,” said Langley.

The office – situated at Morwell – will uphold organisations, particularly small and medium organisations in the Gippsland area, to get to homegrown and global business sectors.
