IISA Board announces three new appointments in the industry

Three new members of the Industry Innovation and Science Australia Board have been welcomed by Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic. 

Dr Cori Stewart, Professor Fang Chen, and Kate Glazebrook will join the IISA board and help the government with science, innovation, and research issues aimed at achieving its priorities. 

“Ms Glazebrook, Dr Stewart and Professor Chen are terrific appointments to the Industry Innovation and Science Australia Board.  I’m enormously grateful they’ve agreed to serve,” Husic said. 

Glazebrook brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience, involvement with the technological sector, and knowledge of behavioural economics to her new position. 

Stewart, who is a high-level manufacturing expert, has insight into spearheading work in university and industry cooperation and research commercialisation. 

Chen, a universally perceived master in ethical and human-centred knowledge and data science, will acquire experience cultivating advancement and digital transformation. 

“I’m pleased that Dr Foley and Ms Stafford will continue in their roles on the IISA Board, and I thank them for their important contributions to date,” the minister said. “Their mix of skills, knowledge and expertise will contribute greatly to the insightful advice that Industry Innovation and Science Australia provides to government to support the delivery of key priorities,” Husic added. 

Husic likewise reported the reappointment of Dr Cathy Foley to the IISA Board, where she will keep on filling in as a deputy chair, empowering coordinated effort across areas and government.
