Adelaide-based engineering services firm Kadego-Cadgile has reported a worldwide rebranding as Ekium, presently working under the brand of its parent organisation.

Groupe FIVA, a global provider of engineering services, bought Cadgile in November 2018 and Kadego Engineering in July 2019. To better serve the Australian market, both businesses merged their operations.

Managing Director of Ekium, Gavan Doyle, stated that the natural next step in the two businesses’ formal collaboration was to establish the company as a single entity.

“Ekium combines 25 years of local experience and innovation with the best in global engineering capability. We bring the energy, creativity, and can-do attitude of a start-up, but with decades of experience and a reputation built on high-quality results,” Doyle said.

Ekium will keep on engineering design, project for the board and prototyping services to all ventures including mining and resources, defence, aviation, car, building and construction, clinical, food and refreshment and utilities.

“Whether it’s BHP, BAE Systems Australia, Minelab, Redarc or the range of family businesses, our valued customers will continue to benefit from our experienced and qualified engineers, who bring a diversity of skills and expertise to any challenge.

I’m incredibly proud of our reputation that is built on high-quality results and excellence in emerging technologies. Our experienced and qualified engineers bring a diversity of skills to any challenge,” Doyle said.

Ekium, a Groupe SNEF company, bought the subsidiaries of Groupe FIVA in August 2023. Ekium will now have Cadgile and Kadego Engineering as its Australian subsidiary, bringing new capabilities and sector knowledge to the local market.

“We are focused on cultivating the best and brightest engineering talent. Our commitment to knowledge sharing within our team delivers a culture of innovation and excellence that we are deeply proud of.

This is a significant milestone in our journey and will empower us to deliver world-class local solutions to our Australian clients. Whatever the challenge, Ekium is a trusted partner that will get the job done,” Doyle added.
