SRT Logistics was awarded Large Carrier of the Year, while ABC Transport was awarded Small Carrier of the Year.

Two of Primary Connect’s long-standing transport partners have been formally recognised at the tenth annual Primary Connect Transport Safety Day for outstanding performance in safety, compliance and service.

Director of Primary Connect+ and Transport for Woolworths Group, Chris Brooks, said, “Our Primary Connect Carrier of the Year Awards are a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise carriers that demonstrate the highest level of service and outstanding professionalism while reflecting our own values and commitment to safety.”

The awards were held at Woolworths Group’s head office on 23 October 2023 with more than 150 carrier partner representatives, industry professionals, and leaders from Primary Connect attending the event.

“We are thrilled to present the award to ABC Transport for the first time, and to SRT for the fourth time since the inception of these awards, and the second year in a row. We’re grateful to have such high-quality partners supporting our supply chain,” Brooks added.

Chief Executive Officer of SRT Logistics, Robert Miller, said, “SRT stands for safe, reliable, and trusted. They’re the things we want to be for the Tasmanian community.

It’s humbling to win the award multiple times. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication from the team for both our leaders and the broader team at SRT. Their hard work and dedication every day makes a difference to our business and the business of Woolworths.”

Chief Executive Officer of ABC Transport, Jamie Eccleston, said, “We’re full of pride for the fact that we’ve done a good job, and we’ve dealt with a very important and prestigious company to make the produce in Darwin fresher and better for the customers up there.

We’re proud to offer Primary Connect and Woolworths the security and comfort of our highly maintained and safe fleet. We look forward to our continued partnership.”
