‘50 Days of Caring’ Fedex in AMEA rolls out sustainability-themed birthday

Over 1000 FedEx volunteers and their families across 22 AMEA markets including Australia, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Egypt, and more, got together and performed various community-based activities focusing on sustainability and environmental protection to celebrate Fedex’s 50th birthday.  

Participants in Australia, China, and South Africa cleaned beaches to reduce waste and build cleaner coastal communities. Volunteers in India, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Nigeria, and Kenya organised trash collection drives.  

Meanwhile, employees from Singapore, India, and Vietnam planted trees. For their part, employees from the Philippines, China, Hong Kojng, Taiwan, and Korea hosted educational seminars on eco-living and eating, waste segregation, road safety, and sustainable logistics.  

The activities were part of Fedex’s birthday’s celebration, which was given the theme “50 Days of Caring.” 

Ahead of the half-century milestone, the company also exceeded its target of helping 50 million people through years of concerted community efforts across the globe.
