DHL Supply Chain and the authority in eye care, Alcon have marked an agreement in Australia following well-established organisations in Chile and New Zealand.

“We’re very pleased to provide Alcon with a dedicated 3PL solution,” says the CEO of DHL Supply Chain Australia, Steve Thompsett.

Its most up-to-date Life Science warehouse centre in Sydney will store Alcon’s vision care and careful vision items. Inbound and outbound shipments will take care of Alcon’s Australian market.

“As the global leader in eye care, Alcon has an incredible range of stock-keeping units, which saw several thousand pallets moved seamlessly across to our landmark Life Sciences facility over three weeks. The dedicated rework area and cold chain facilities enable us to operate as a ‘one-stop shop’ for Alcon,” Thompsett added.

The multi-client site in Horningsea Park has a 5-star Green Star Rating and is a temperature-controlled office fuelled by green power.

“At Alcon, innovation is at the heart of what we do – and this includes innovating our commercial services so that we can deliver world-class products more efficiently and reliably to our customers to help more people see Brilliantly,” said Cluster Franchise Head Surgical and Country Manager for Alcon Australia and New Zealand, Penny Stewart.

Alcon’s choice to cooperate with DHL is the quality consistency expected for clinical gadgets and the adaptability of the DHL organisation to scale activities.

DHL Supply Chain Australia is the biggest third-party logistics operations supplier for the existing science and medical care industry and guarantees label claim compliance as manufacturers recommend.

“We are thrilled to partner with DHL to get our products to our customers from all corners of Australia and New Zealand more efficiently,” Stewart said.
