We are looking for a Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst to support the operations of our incredible 28,000 square metre National Logistics Centre located in Laverton North (Melbourne), which services our national network of Daimler/Mercedes-Benz divisions such as Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz Vans and Daimler Trucks and Buses. This role is perfect for someone ready to apply their Logistics Operations experience, analytical skills, as well as, their passion for collaborating with others in order to achieve success.

Given the enormity of the Logistics Centre’s operations, the Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst will be required to:

  • Provide the necessary support to internal stakeholders and external stakeholders including suppliers in order to meet internal targets and customer expectations;
  • Display customer-orientation in ensuring that all enquiries via the internal and external customer support phone line and email inbox are addressed in a timely manner;
  • Be driven to win in supporting Daimler/Mercedes-Benz’s Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers to meet their contractual requirements, key performance indicators and service levels;
  • Attend and contribute in weekly, fortnightly and monthly operational meetings with 3PL’s and Management meetings as requested;
  • Create and analyse daily, weekly and monthly reports, in order to display a pioneering spirit in highlighting areas of improvement and furthermore, project manage these initiatives;
  • Provide data analysis support of key Logistics Operations KPIs;
  • Be able to take quick action in order to solve problems and make decisions for positive outcomes for all stakeholders; and
  • Play a key and integral part as a Project Team member in a variety of continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Have ability to pinpoint new continuous improvement opportunities through root cause analysis and implement changes to address such opportunities.

 

Qualifications

To be the successful candidate in this role, ideally you will have experience within logistics operations and/or supply chain management. You will have a university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or another similar field. You pride yourself in being decisive, showing a high-attention to detail and an analytical mindset. You display a customer-first approach with strong time management skills, which allow you to thrive in fast-paced operations environment.

This role will predominately based at the National Logistics Centre in Laverton North with opportunities to work from the Mercedes-Benz Australia Head Office in Mulgrave and/or at home as required. To be considered for this role, please apply by COB Tuesday 20th April 2021.
