About the role

As a result of an internal secondment, we’re looking for an exceptional supply planning professional to join our team on a 12-month contract. As an International Supply Planner, you will collaborate with a large range of international suppliers and internal stakeholders within the Merchandise Business Units to deliver strong in-store availability. You will contribute to the performance of the portfolio whilst working proactively on growth opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll provide long term planning to support international purchasing, as well as our replenishment approach to planned and unplanned events.

You’ll also:

  • manage day to day supply in line with current business expectations for working capital, availability and stock cover
  • influence suppliers to adapt production and container loading operations to ensure end to end cost reductions and efficiencies are maximised
  • provide insights to Merchandise that cover sourcing trends / alternatives, free trade opportunities, costing tools and legislative requirements
  • proactively seek and identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end international supply chain and manage the implementation of initiatives
  • develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships with key customers

Good things you’ll need

We’re after a highly skilled professional with demonstrated understanding of supply chain planning, supply chain finance, stock management principles, replenishment, and inventory management.

You’ll also need

  • proven experience in a supply chain or logistics role, with exposure to planning or inventory management preferred
  • knowledge of retail industry and FMCG, combined with analytical and modelling skills
  • an understanding of customer needs and shopping habits with knowledge of stock management principles
  • comfort with statistics, forecasting and replenishment methods
  • strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across all levels and functions, as well as external suppliers
  • a track record of complying with tight deadlines and producing quality outcomes
  • exceptional oral and written communication skills
