We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Supply Chain Lead to join us and look after Alstom’s Services (Maintenance) business’ for NSW. This will include 2 iconic and critical projects – Sydney Metro and Sydney Light Rail. They key to this rôle will be harmonising suppliers and minimising delays in order to meet quality, cost and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify Suppliers before Business Award
  • Responsible to pass the gate review related to Supply Chain (DFQ)
  • Contribute to P&FM and MPS meeting preparation
  • Coordinate Supply Chain activities related to planning, suppliers’ and technical modifications
  • Support Supply Chain organisation with critical deliveries issues at suppliers if they arise
  • Create and set up Supply Chain processes
  • Manage material availability and anticipate material shortage
  • Monitor and report on key Supply Chain Metrics.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Commercial, Legal) or equivalent experience
  • Background working within the rail transport environment (preferred however not essential)
  • Previous experience with Purchasing and Supply Chain practices in a project and/or maintenance environment
  • Strong data analysis and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be resilient in a complex project environment

You will be joining an enthusiastic and growing team. This is a permanent position that will be based at our Lilyfield depot however will require frequent travel to other sites (Randwick, Rouse Hill, Auburn and North Ryde).
