TMX Global has announced the appointment of long-time merchandise and supply chain planning expert Peter Tebelopoulos as Director – Supply Chain Planning.

Tebelopoulos joins TMX Global from Kmart Australia where he worked for 12 years in planning manager roles and most recently as Head of Inventory. Prior to that, he worked in senior roles for Myer in planning and merchandise.

He brings with him 20 years of industry experience to the ANZ consultancy, with strong exposure across both local and international sourcing and supply chain models.

Tebelopoulos has also managed portfolios over $1.4 billion, as well as the entire Kmart merchandise range as Head of Inventory.

TMX Global said the new appointment reflects the companies continued growth and aspirations for the future, with its supply-chain division growing eight-fold in the last three years, in response to surging customer demand for its expertise.

“Peter’s appointment is key to our future success, as he brings broad and practical industry experience, helping us understand our customer needs even better,” said Craig Albiston, Global Executive Director – Supply Chain at TMX.

“Across TMX we have extensive industry experience in Supply Chain Planning, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) supporting our client base, and we are looking to rapidly grow our team and internal capability over the next 12 months,” Albiston said.

TMX Global is an adviser to some of the world’s largest companies, including Wesfarmers, Coles, Coca-Cola Japan, Asahi and Singapore Post.

The company has strengthened its leadership team in recent months with several key appointments, including Craig Albiston as Executive Director – Supply Chain, Jeff Askew as Chief Financial Officer and Julie-Anne Vandenhoff as Chief People Officer.

Tebelopoulos said TMX was always a business he admired, having worked with them as a customer for many years, which gave him a firsthand appreciation of the organisation’s capability and culture.

“After more than 25 years in the retail industry working in various roles across merchandise & supply chain planning, I was looking for my next challenge, and the decision to take up the opportunity with TMX was an easy one,” he said.

“TMX has always provided unrivalled services across the end-to-end supply chain, and as customer demand for Inventory management and supply chain planning has increased significantly in the last 12 months, it was natural for the business to increase its focus in these areas,” he said.

He continued that the opportunity to lead that growth at TMX is exciting for him and the entire team.

Tebelopoulos has experience across, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), IBP (Integrated Business Planning) and Retail Merchandise Planning.
