Queensland’s manufacturers urged to apply for grant programs

Assistant Minister Bruce Saunders has called local manufacturers in the state to apply for assistance from the Queensland government’s grant programs aimed at supporting the sector’s businesses.

Several programs have been developed by the state government to support the local manufacturing sector. This remembers Revamped for Queensland, the Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant, and the Manufacturing Hubs Program.

ReMade in Queensland, the grants’ first round was recently launched. The program’s objective is to assist small- to medium-sized local manufacturing and recycling businesses in adopting remanufacturing processes that reduce energy and waste costs, reuse materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, and transform materials into new manufactured goods.

“Cirrus Ag is a brilliant example of how well a business can grow after receiving the right support at the right time. Our investments in these programs have created and supported more than 7,000 jobs across Queensland,” Saunders said.

The Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Grant program of the Queensland government also assists manufacturers in lowering their energy consumption and lowering their energy costs.

Qualified organisations can apply for matched award subsidising somewhere in the range of $5,000 and $25,000 to purchase hardware or present cycles that will diminish energy utilisation and fossil fuel byproducts.
