Local food manufacturer SPC is once again joining Procurement Australia as its preferred Food Service partner, which will provide members with access to some of Australia’s most loved and recognised food brands.

SPC’s decision to rejoin the procurement service company as preferred partner comes after a short time being internationally owned.

After its brief hiatus under international management, SPC is coming back as a proudly owned and operated Australian brand.

Both SPC and Procurement Australia agreed that this period of brand rejuvenation marks the perfect opportunity to reinvigorate their long standing partnership, which began in 2016.

Iain Birrell, Procurement Australia’s Travel and Foodservices Solutions Category Manager, said the return of SPC into the Foodservice category is testament to the enduring and value-aligned relationship between the brands.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to welcome SPC back into our Foodservice category,” Birrell said.

“SPC has an enviable reputation across a diverse range of products we know our members love,” he said.

Some of the food brands under SPC include Ardmona, Goulburn Valley, SPC and SPC ProVital.

“Having such a nationally recognised and trusted brand back in our Bidfood distribution channel means we can guarantee our members more of what they’re looking for – a diverse range of locally sourced and manufactured goods that are healthy, sustainable, versatile and
competitively priced.”

SPC will service Procurement Australia’s entire Foodservice category, particularly through assistance to aged care and education members’ food service needs.

Brendan Hoare, Procurement Australia’s Strategic Sourcing Director, said that the reinvigorated partnership with SPC highlights the reputational strength of Procurement Australia’s Foodservice category.

“SPC’s decision to reach out to Procurement Australia is testament to our reputation as a like-minded Australian brand in our own right,” Hoare said.

“It’s also evidence of the value we place on building and maintaining strong relationships with our valued suppliers,” he said.

He also stressed how the organisations’ alignment in values speak to the enduring connections Procurement Australia aims in its partnerships.

“SPC’s commitment to sustainability and community support speak directly to our own values and vision for the future of Procurement Australia,” he said.

“We are proud to welcome SPC back into the Procurement Australia family.”

Procurement Australia said it will be working with its members to maximise their access to SPC’s range of products.
