Ariel, the world’s largest manufacturer of reciprocating gas compressors, has appointed Valmec as a regional distributor in Australia.

The new deal introduces a new distributorship model to the Australian market and an opportunity for Valmec’s clients to access a range of factory direct and accredited services.

This comprises access to genuine original equipment manufacturer (OEM) compression parts, product support, training, extended warranties, and more efficient and tailored procurement activities.

Valmec said the new Ariel / Valmec relationship is set to position Valmec as a key provider of best-in-class compressor maintenance and revitalisation solutions to the Australian market.

“Ariel has a long-standing reputation as a global leader of gas compression technologies, with a presence on major oil and gas production facilities globally and here in Australia,” said Steve Dropulich, Managing Director at Valmec.

“This new direct affiliation brings our clients closer to the OEM, reducing the burden on the energy supply chain to accommodate the increased support requirements of asset owners,” Dropulich said.

“As an independent operations and maintenance provider, Valmec is uniquely positioned as a provider of superior industry-leading asset support to new and existing clients within the Australian market, now backed by Ariel’s world-class quality assurance and innovation,” he said.

Ariel is the largest manufacturer of separable reciprocating gas compressors in the world.

Since 1966, the company has shipped over 65,000 compressors with installations in over 100 countries.

Ariel compressors are utilised in a vast number of applications serving global energy markets, industrial gas markets, and compressed gas transportation, storage, and delivery.

Ariel brings the same quality and commitment to innovation to their range of parts as they do to their compressors, ensuring new releases are backwards compatible to modernise aging assets, helping to achieve the lowest cost of ownership in any environment.

“Valmec looks forward to a mutually benefiting, long-term relationship with Ariel and are excited to be providing a new value proposition to our customers,” the company said in a statement.
